NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WZTV) — Tennessee Rep. Bruce Griffey introduced a bill to get rid of Critical Race Theory (CRT) from workplaces across the state.

Last year, the Tennessee General Assembly passed legislation to ban the teaching of Critical Race Theory in classrooms to TN students.

This year, TN Rep. Griffey filed legislation (HB2313) to advance the bill by banning CRT in workplaces across Tennessee in both the private and public sector.

Rep. Griffery said that CRT proponents promote a more liberal view in many aspects including the K through 12 curriculum and within "diversity training" used in workplaces.

“Critical Race Theory is a radical, totalitarian philosophy rooted in Marxism that seeks to destroy capitalism, the nuclear family, the republican form of government, the rule of law and Christianity. Ironically, CRT teaches racism, self-loathing, hatred of our fellow man and our country and divisiveness along racial lines. It seeks to dismantle the Declaration of Independence -- ironically a document that was intended to protect us from tyranny and oppression and declared that all men are created equal, endowed by their Creator with unalienable rights to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness,” explained Griffey.

Rep. Griffery continued to say how CRT trainings are not only negatively impacting employees, but promoting false accusations about white supremacy in America…
